Bil JohnBIL, John   - 1968 - 2018  On January 24, 2018, John Walter Bil left us after a lengthy battle with an unforgiving disease.

He passed at home with his wife, Sheila Flaherty, loyal canine Ho'kee and best friend Fred Morin.

John was born in Oakville on February 23, 1968.

He is survived by his parents Mary and Howard McKeown, sisters Laura Ann Bil, Lynn Ann McKeown (Rob) and Marc Hugh James McKeown (Sue). John ran, biked and shucked his way through countless hearts and towns, with a knack for knowing every shucker, troubadour and star quarterback in every place he stepped foot.

A wonderful argumentalist and an eternal nomad, he spoke kindly and respectfully, unless you were wrong.

He was a model of loyalty to his friends and family, sharing compassion and love with his wife, Sheila.

Unphased by the pains and burdens of malady, he ploughed through life with commanding strength, visiting friends and travelling until his last breath.

A celebration of John's life will take place at 1 p.m. on Sunday, January 28th at Terroni Adelaide (Second Entrance), 578 Adelaide Street East in Toronto.
