HUMPHREY, Gloria Audrey - of Victoria, BC, formerly of Toronto, after a courageous battle with cancer, Gloria passed away peacefully on January 24, 2018.
Gloria was my spouse, my partner, my right hand and my strength.
In short, she was my everything.
She was a powerhouse. Her mark on the world will survive for generations through her great career as an Educator. She started her career as a Grade One Teacher in Ontario and proceeded to grow her career in Manitoba and British Columbia before returning to Ontario where she received her Master's Degree in Education.
Her influence on the education systems she taught in, particularly Dufferin Country, were significant. Everyone that Gloria touched during her career as an Educator was better for it. Gloria will be missed by her family, former colleagues and friends. "Dear your job is done, now rest until we meet again. Love you."
Although Gloria's time at hospice was short they, along with the hospice organization of Victoria, went above and beyond to make sure she was taken care of in a professional manner and a special thank you to Kari Marshall for all her help and compassion in the final days.
At Gloria's request, there will be no formal service.
Friends wishing to make a donation in her memory may do so to the Victoria Hospice Society or the Canadian Cancer Society.
