THOMPSON, Barbara Janet - It is with heavy hearts that the family of Barbara "Jan" Thompson (nee Stewart) announce her passing on Saturday, January 27, 2018 after a short illness at the age of 76.
In death, Jan is reunited with her loving husband Robert Thompson and her cherished son Jeffery Thompson.
She is lovingly remembered and painfully missed by her son Brent, daughter-in-law Tiffany, granddaughter Emerson and her entire family, which includes her brother Donald Stewart (Carmen), sister Heather Stewart, uncle-in-law Al Thompson (Patrick), brother-in-law Bill Thompson (Liz), sister-in-law Marilyn Ilechukwu and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and beloved friends.
Our family would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to the many friends and family who visited Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre in Barrie to see Jan off on her long journey.
We would also like to express our gratitude to the doctors and nurses in the palliative care unit who showed such compassion for Jan while under their care. At a later date, we will announce the details for Jan's Celebration of Life Memorial service.
Mom, we will miss your sweet soprano singing voice, your kindness and generosity and your beautiful smile.
