STANFORD, Lester Frank - February 15, 1920 – May 26, 2018
Passed away peacefully after living an active, healthy life past his 98th birthday.
Beloved husband and best friend of Mary for 47 years.
Loving father of Kim Hall (Phil); grandfather of Kyle; step-grandfather of Anthony; and brother-in-law of John Manna.
He was an American WWII bomber pilot who flew B26 Marauders and successfully completed 69 missions from England and France.
Asked to come to Canada from New York in 1961, he established a successful television promotional advertising company.
He became a proud Canadian citizen, loved golf, duplicate bridge and, most of all, people. His charm, wisdom and exceptional ability to tell stories about his life experiences were an inspiration to everyone he met.
A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, June 5, 2018 at the Rosedale Golf Club, 1901 Mount Pleasant Road between 12:00 – 3:00 p.m.
