Tynkaluk WilliamTYNKALUK, William (Bill)  - Passed away after a short illness Friday, June 1, 2018 at North York General Hospital in his 89th year.

Born in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario in 1929 and grew up in Echo Bay, Ontario.

He is survived by his wife of almost 62 years Marguerite (nee Brown), son Gregory (wife Vicki), daughter Gail (husband P.J.) and his beloved grandchildren Giulian, Alexander and Emma.

He is survived also by his brother Walter (wife Gayle) and sister Helen (husband Kenneth).

He is predeceased by his parents, Julia and Harry Tynkaluk, brother, Michael Tynkaluk and sister, Amelia Mackenzie.

Bill graduated from high school at the age of 16, then attended normal school in North Bay; he then taught school for 2 years before heading off to the University of Toronto, Victoria College, where he studied political science and economics. Graduating in 1953 he joined investment firm, Leon Frazer & Associates becoming a Certified Financial Analyst and ultimately president of the firm until his retirement at age 83.

His love of his clients and attention to their well-being was the cornerstone of his success. His love of sports both on the field and as an observer was a passion throughout his life.

He was a founding member of the Board of Trade, a longstanding member of the Albany Club of Canada and a member of the Toronto Gyro Club. Thanks to all the wonderful care workers and medical staff at North York General Hospital.

Visitation will take place on Wednesday, June 6th from 2 until 4 p.m. and 6 until 8 p.m. at R.S. Kane Funeral Home at 6150 Yonge Street, North York, Ontario and funeral service will be held at Forest Grove United Church, 43 Forest Grove Drive, North York, Ontario on Thursday, June 7th at 1 p.m. with a reception to follow.

Donations can be made in honour of Bill to Forest Grove United Church or Victoria College at the University of Toronto.
