CRAWFORD, Neil - September 10, 1956 - June 23, 2018
Neil Crawford loved life fiercely: his family and friends will miss the warmth of his burning passions following his death to cancer.
The McMaster University-trained chemical engineer, avid reader, sportsman and athlete, camper, hiker and musician was one of 9 children of Agnes and Ron Crawford of Strabane.
Intellectually curious, he read the entire Encyclopaedia Britannica one summer as a child.
He was a steadfast friend who gave freely of his time and organizational skills to the community.
He cherished his 4 children - Allison, Derek, Lianne, Michael - feasting them on camp-stove French fries, hiking the Dundas Peak and hosting family dinners.
He was proud of his brains, his golf prowess (best player in the family) and self-taught musicianship with guitar and voice. Neil Young, The Guess Who and Marvin Gaye were on his set list.
We'll be singing them soon in a tribute party honouring a man of talent, integrity and heart.
