Stewart MurielSTEWART, Muriel (nee ANDERSON)  - September 17, 1921 - June 24, 2018

Born in Forrest, Manitoba, September 17, 1921. Died peacefully, three months shy of 97 on June 24, 2018 at Carefree Lodge, Toronto.

Loving wife of Murray Stewart for 60 years.

Predeceased by husband Murray, siblings Winnie (John), Frank (Bessie) and Alex.

Fondly remembered by her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Muriel graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Home Economics, University of Manitoba, Winnipeg, in 1943. Worked in restaurant management at Eaton's and the Royal Ontario Museum. Married Murray in January of 1946 and raised three children as longtime residents of Willowdale. Enjoyed numerous family vacations, summers in Port Elgin, and many of Murray's painting excursions in Canada, Europe and the USA. Ardent bowler with the Willowdale Lawn Bowling Club and a past President.

Known for Sunday dinners, reading, Crosswords, Scrabble, weaving, knitting and gardening.

Was an avid crib player, "perfect hand holder" and Ontario Senior Champion.

Visitation: Monday, July 2nd at 12:30 p.m. Funeral: 1:30 p.m., R. S. Kane Funeral Home (Chapel), 6150 Yonge Street. Interment Tuesday, July 3rd at 2:00 p.m., Nairn Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations to Lansing United Church would be appreciated.
