MURRAY, Graham Peter - Died at Toronto, August 29, 2021. In death, as in life, on his own terms.
Only son of William Atkinson Murray (1916-1994) and Marjorie Mary Elliot (1916-1987), born in Enfield, England, July 21, 1943. He embodied his Dad’s sense of fair play and his Mum’s feistiness.
Survived by his sister, Susan Murray of Codrington Hill, London, his wife, Susan Cutler and their son, James Alexander Murray (& Alan the Cat).
He will be much missed by his cousins in England and his in-laws in Canada.

URBANCIC, Maria - Much-loved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Maria, lovingly called Noni by all, passed away at home surrounded by love, on Sunday, August 29, 2021, in her 98th year.
Noni wanted to live to be 100 so that we could have a huge party and dancing to celebrate and this was proof of her strong spirit and determination.

Dean was the common-law husband and best friend to Lise Portelance and was predeceased by his wives Carol Jane Frost and Mary Read.
Loving and devoted father of Steven McShane (Donna), Carol Ann Simkins (Fred) and predeceased by Deborah (Debbie) Louise Healey.
Beloved grandfather of Connor (Aleeya), Tegan (Matt), Garrett, Meredith, Tawnya, Cortney (Garett), Bryton, Madison. Devoted great-grandfather to Griffen, Eli, Heidi, Acen, Mackenzie, Scotlynn, Savannah, Eliana, Damon and Easton.

SCHULZ, Roger James - Died on Thursday, August 19, 2021, just one month shy of his eighty-third birthday.
He will be dearly missed by his family, as well as by his many friends, and will be remembered for his devotion to family, his deep curiosity, and his sense of humour, which was with him until the end.
Roger was the devoted husband and companion of Marilyn Faulkner Jordan. They were married for 59 years.
She was his best friend for even longer, and he often referred to her as “my bride.”

GRIFFITHS, Doris Lillian - (1922 - 2021) - Doris Lillian Griffiths, age 98, of Scarborough passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 28th, 2021 at the Ajax Pickering Hospital.
Doris was born in Gunning Cove, Nova Scotia, on December 30th, 1922, the daughter of Lovett and Elsie Goulden.
She was predeceased by her husband Roy, sister Evelyn, sister Gloria and brother Leon. She will be greatly missed by her daughters Valerie, Yvonne (Ed), and Darlene, along with grandchildren Shirley (Jason), Glenda (Guy), Irene, Andrea, Danielle (Shawn), Julia (Giancarlo) and Victoria (Jeremy). She was a loving great grandmother to 10.

TAYLOR, George Stephenson 'Steve' - It is with profound sadness we announce the passing of George “Steve” Stephenson Taylor on August 28, 2021.
Born in Toronto on November 27, 1933.
Steve was predeceased by his parents George and Lyla.
He is survived by his husband, Hugh McNeilly; sister-in-law Joyce McDowell; brother, Dale Taylor; nephew, Michael Taylor (Estelle Uy); great-nephews, Dylan and Daniel Taylor; cousins, Cindy Ulman and Marilyn Hicks and their families.
Steve attended UTS, Trinity College, and Osgoode Hall Law School (now York University). He retired from the Law department at Bell (Toronto) after 29 years of service.

BUTLER, Cynthia Anne - Cynthia Anne Butler, age 76, passed away peacefully and with dignity at Andy's House Hospice, in Port Carling, on Saturday, August 28, 2021.
Cynthia passed with her daughter Andrea by her side.
Cynthia was married to Greg Butler for over 50 years, who preceded her in death in June of last year.
Cynthia is survived by her daughter Andrea Butler (Tiffany Commins); her grandson Pearson Butler-Commins, her two nephews Chris Yates (Satoko), and Darren Yates (Ingrid Wong-Yates) who looked to Cynthia as a mom; her grandniece Aila Yates, and grandnephews Brandon, and Kazuki Yates who fondly referred to her as Grandma Cyn; and the entire Butler family.
She will be lovingly remembered by Carole Kainz, a lifelong friend from the age of 12.

MAKKAY, Dr. Zoltan Makkay, MD, FRCS(C) - 1935 - 2021
Dr. Zoltan Makkay passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 28, 2021 at The Meadows of Dorchester Long Term Care Home with his loving wife, Katalin, by his side.
He started Medical School in Hungary and immigrated to Canada after the Hungarian Revolution in 1956, residing first in Montreal and then Halifax.
He continued Medical School at Dalhousie University receiving his MD in 1963.
He then entered the Obstetrics / Gynaecology training program in Toronto receiving his Fellowship in 1968.
He was on the Obstetric / Gynaecology Medical Staff at North York General Hospital from its inception in 1968, until retiring in 2004 after a long and successful practice.

MARCONI, Fred Vincent - With heavy hearts the family of Fred Vincent Marconi sadly announce his passing, on Saturday, August 28, 2021.
He passed away peacefully, with his daughters by his side, in his 88th year.
Much-loved proud father of daughters, Lisa Marconi (Allen), Andrea and Paula (Chris).
Predeceased by his loving parents Mary and Nazzareno Marconi. Beloved younger brother of Elvira Janicki (Chester, deceased). Uncle to Richard Janicki and Gloria Kovach.

ARMSTRONG, George Warren - November 25, 1925 – August 28, 2021
Warren died peacefully surrounded by his children, after a brief and hard fought battle with being 95 years old.
He was predeceased by his wife Lorraine in 1984 and sister Shirley Ollers in 2020.
Warren is survived by his five children: Tory {Andrew Wright}, Susie {Michael Thompson}, Andrew {Stephanie}, Hillary {Matthew McGuffin} and Alexandra “Bigsy” {Mark Monahan}.
Affectionately known as “Gubby”, Warren will be missed by his seven grandchildren: Stephanie Wright, Connor Orsava, Jack and Matthew Owen, and James, Johnny and Craig Armstrong.

Passed away suddenly on Saturday, August 28, 2021 at home, at the age of 81.
Lovingly remembered by her siblings, Bayden (Bev), Norman (Deanna), Ruth, Drenda (Raymond) and by her many nieces, nephews, and their families, all of the North Bay area.
Predeceased by her brother Edgar and her by parents, Adam and Agnes Brownlee.

MERTON, Lauren Arlene - It is with great sadness that we share that Lauren Arlene Merton passed away suddenly in, her home, on August 28, 2021, at the age of 64.
Lauren was predeceased by her father, mother and sister. Lauren was born on November 22, 1956 in Toronto, ON.
By the time she was 4 years old, her sister Judi and parents Florence and Roy Merton had moved to Port Credit, where she spent her early years attending Riverside Public School and then Port Credit Secondary School, studying business administration.
In her late 20's, Lauren moved to the to the island of Providenciales (known as Provo) in the Turks and Caicos Islands, where she opened up a Scooter rental business with her partner and then later established the first Buy and Sell business for the island.

OLDS, Victoria Anne, Ph.D., - June 19, 1958 – August 28, 2021
Dr. Vic (Vicki) was raised in Thistletown, daughter of Grace and Donovan Olds.
She enjoyed summers during her teens as a camper and staff at Camp Artaban in Bolton.
She earned her Ph.D. in Management Sciences at University of Waterloo and later worked for several decades teaching Math at University of Western Ontario where she was employed at the time of her death.
Vicki enjoyed singing bass with London Pro Musica Choir and playing bassoon with the New Horizons Band in London.
She attended Lake Field Music Adult Music Camp for many years until it was shut down by COVID-19.
