SILVERTHORNE, Agnes (PADDY)  - September 30, 1920 - November 6, 2018

Paddy passed away peacefully at Totem Lodge, Sechelt, BC on November 6, 2018 in her 99th year.

Born Agnes Theresa Thomson in Dublin, Ireland in 1920, she never lost her deep love of her Irish heritage.

In 1943 she married Robert Silverthorne and they enjoyed the following 63 years together until he passed away in 2006.

Always loved and remembered by her sisters Maureen (Mississauga) and Joan (Cambridge UK), children Deirdre (Martin), Roger (Dale), grandchildren Jeremy (Carley), Shannon (John), Tara, Andrew (Julie) and great-grandchildren Delphine, Thomson, Jones and Stevie, nephew David (Ellen), niece Maureen, as well as family and friends in Canada and abroad.

Paddy's positive outlook and her tastefully glamourous style was her trademark throughout her long life as was her love of entertaining, theatre, classical music, sewing, bridge, travelling and the essential martini before dinner.

For many years Paddy was the receptionist at American Motors in Brampton and a founding member of their recreation club.

In retirement she became a lifelong member of the Business and Professional Women's club in Brampton. In 2012 she took up residence in Sechelt on the Sunshine Coast to be near her children and grandchildren. While there she became active in the local "Chair Actors" group where she made wonderful friends.

The family wishes to thank all those who cared for Paddy in her final days including all the staff at Totem Lodge, Dr. Belgraver and Rev. Clarence Li for their love, compassion and kindness.

No service by request. Family celebrations of her life will be held in British Columbia and Ontario at a future date.

Should friends wish to make a donation in Paddy's name please consider St Hilda's Anglican Church restoration fund, PO Box 302, Sechelt, BC V0N 3A0, or a charity of your choice.
