Chen WallaceCHEN, Wallace - It is with profound sadness that the family of Wallace Chen announce his unexpected passing on July 5, 2021, at the age of 17 years at the Hospital for Sick Children.

Wallace was born March 5, 2004, in Toronto, Ontario to Ming and Mei Chen.

In addition to his loving parents, he is survived by his sister, Margaret, and his maternal grandmother, Qun.

Wallace was a student at Beverley School and William J McCordic School and built strong friendships with the staff and teachers there.

He was known for his intelligence, joyful spirit, and big infectious smile. Wallace was an avid lover of chicken nuggets and french fries and the colour blue.

Most importantly, Wallace had a deep love for his family, and always enjoyed the time they would spend together going on walks, at the park, dining in, and especially the frequent trips to McDonalds.

Wallace will truly be missed. He was a ray of sunshine who brightened every person he came into contact with. He showed them his kindness, sweet laugh, and desire to help out – whether it was at home, in the classroom, or a program he was attending.

The family welcomes all to the visitation at Chapel Ridge Funeral Home, Markham on Tuesday July 13th. No funeral service will be held at the decision of the family.
