Sleigh DavidSLEIGH, David - (March 7, 1928 - December 2, 2021) -  It is with great sadness we announce the passing of David Sleigh.

David was born in Aberdeenshire Scotland on March 7, 1928. David travelled to America in the mid forties and worked for several prominent farms. After a few years in the States, Uncle Sam invited him to join the army, so he ended up with the 82nd airborne in Fort Bragg N.C.

After being honourably discharged he settled in Connecticut for a few years before ultimately moving to London, Ontario managing Prospects Farms. Dave and his family spent ten years at Prospect before agreeing to join the McCutcheon family at Ellanvannin Farms north of Toronto. David continued to have success with his herd, winning many awards at premier shows across the country.

Always quick with a smile and a handshake, he achieved a great circle of friends and colleagues both in and out of the cattle business.

David is survived by his wife Lynne and children John, Jean and Marshall. Predeceased by son David and brothers Jack, Bill, Ronald and sister Margaret. David is also survived by five grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

The family would like to thank the staff at MacKenzie Health and Oak Ridges dialysis clinic for the excellent care they provided over the years.

Arrangements are entrusted with Thompson funeral home, Aurora. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
