Hogarth GeorgeHOGARTH, George Malcolm  - October 1, 1933 - August 16, 2018

Suddenly on Thursday, August 16, 2018, the twentieth anniversary of the death of his brother, North, Mac passed away.

He leaves his beloved, Jane Kitchen Hogarth and his children Michael, Dinnie (Jim), Todd (Heather) and Laura.

He was Grandad to Michael and Stuart Baker and George, Sean and Griffin Hogarth and Grampa to Emma and Joshua Hinchliff and Jillian and Olivia Bull.

My husband lived a life he loved; he cherished his friends, enjoyed his many nieces and nephews, lent a hand to many and asked for no recognition of his good deeds. His interests were extensive, he especially loved to fly, ski and travel.

A Greek philosopher once said "Old men plant trees whose shade they will never see" and he planted many trees.

He was predeceased by his parents, Lyman Hogarth and Mary Gooderham Hogarth and his siblings Lyn, Nony and North. We cannot offer enough thanks to the care given by Dr. Eugenia Piliotis and the nurses and Doctors of Sunnybrook Hospital, particularly the Palliative care team and Dr. Dominic Li.

In recognition of the exceptional care Mac received at Sunnybrook Hospital over the last decade, donations may be made in Mac's memory to the Sunnybrook Hospital Foundation sunnybrook.ca/foundation or to aid in medical research through Lymphoma Canada www.lymphoma.ca.

A memorial service will be held at St. Clement's Church, 70 St. Clements Avenue, Toronto on Friday, August 24, 2018, at 2:00 p.m. (A visitation with the family will begin at 12:30, followed by the memorial service at 2:00 p.m, reception to follow.).
