Riley PhyllisRILEY, Phyllis Irene  - With profound sadness we announce the sudden passing of our beloved mother, Phyllis Riley (nee Moyse), in her 86th year, on Friday, August 17, 2018, with her children by her side.

Phyllis was a loving and devoted Mom to Curtis Riley (Paula) and Kelly Elliott (Paul) and a doting and adored Nana to James and John Elliott and Rachael Riley.

She was predeceased by her husband of 54 years, Robert Riley (2008).

Born and raised near Sedley, Saskatchewan, Mom was one of seven children and will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by Annie, Margaret, Richard and Robert (predeceased by Wilfred and Evelyn), sisters-in-law Loretta and Anne Moyse and Wilma Riley as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, Samuel and Elfreda Moyse. Mom and Dad raised their family in Toronto and later resided in Whitby and Tillsonburg.

Mom lastly moved to Mississauga, where we delighted in her daily presence in our lives.

Mom had a career outside the home when it wasn't yet the norm but was most devoted to her family, her love unconditional, her strength, intelligence, kindness, sense of humour and integrity unsurpassed. Mom enjoyed a good political debate, sports (favourites: golf, curling, the Roughriders), reading, board games, crosswords, "Sunday" drives, family dinners and welcoming her family home. We will cherish her memory forever and miss her beyond measure.

A Memorial and Reception has been planned for family and friends on Wednesday, August 29, 2018, at 12:00 noon at The Glenerin Inn, 1695 The Collegeway, Mississauga.

Should you wish, a donation to Heart & Stroke Foundation of Canada, Alzheimer Society of Canada or Peterborough Regional Health Centre (who provided exceptional and gentle care to Mom) would be appreciated.
