Hamilton DonaldHAMILTON, Donald Allan  - July 1, 1935 – November 1, 2018

Don passed away peacefully after a brief but well-fought battle on November 1, 2018 at the age of 83.

Loving and dedicated husband to Catherine (nee King), he exemplified the vows they took nearly 60 years ago, particularly to love her in sickness and in health, often selflessly acting as her health care advocate and rock.

Unbeatable dad to their four children, Jeff, Dave, Janie (Rick) and Susan (Richard), he instilled in them the values of unconditional love, hard work and good humour.

Jackie, Dana, Bryan, Zoe, Fiona, Sean and Oscar will lovingly recall their grandfather for his warmth, curiosity, vast knowledge and epic model train set.

Don made a positive impact on countless kids in his community as well, having coached competitive hockey (Don Mills Flyers and Hillcrest Summits) and fastball (Don Victoria) for over 30 years.

Several of his players even made it to the show, a source of great pride to him.

Don was an unforgettable character, and we take great comfort in the outpouring of love and touching stories received from the many people his life touched.

Friends and family will be received at Paul O'Connor Funeral Home on Sunday, November 4th for visitation from 1 to 5 p.m., with a funeral service to follow on Monday, November 5th at 1 p.m.
