Barbara Peebles (née Torrance) passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, on March 1, 2025, in her 85th year.
Cherished mother of Heather (Bob), Jack, and the late Andretta. Proud “Little Grandma” of Natasha, Melanie, Cody, Robert, Samantha, and Lauren. Great-grandma of Ellie, Grayson, Antonio, and Gabriel. Predeceased by her parents and siblings. She will be fondly remembered and deeply missed by her extended family and friends.
Barbara retired from General Motors and was then able to fulfill her true passion—volunteering for over 30 years at Lakeridge Health Oshawa.
As per Barbara’s wishes, a private "immediate" graveside service will take place at Mount Lawn Cemetery. The family will be hosting a backyard Celebration of Life in the summer.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Lakeridge Health Foundation (Cancer Care Unit).
