Kevin Joseph Chouinard

April 26, 1962 – March 12, 2025

Kevin Joseph Chouinard peacefully passed away at the age of 62 years old, at Sunnybrook Hospital in Toronto, Ontario after battling Oropharyngeal Cancer. He will be missed by his loving wife Maritess, daughter Tasha, sister Kelly, and best friend Gideon. He is predeceased and is now reunited with his mom and dad, Aldina and Dennis Chouinard, and beloved pet Babes.

Kevin was a loving man with many passions and hobbies. He enjoyed supporting his three favorite sports teams, The Toronto Raptors, The Toronto Blue Jays, and the Toronto Maple Leafs. Win or lose, he was always cheering for them. He enjoyed fishing, whether it was warm or icy, and listening to classic rock and roll. He was always able to make his family laugh, even when it was hard. He loved food and baking for his family – you could always count on a good meal. He had many hobbies, from classic car shows to cozying up at home playing Call of Duty, and collecting foreign currency and unique coins. He loved all genres of movies and was never shy about trying something new.

Kevin was simply an amazing person all around, endlessly selfless, kind, caring, empathetic, but also infinitely stubborn. He often put the needs of others before himself, always willing to lend a helping hand, and never afraid to speak up and share his opinions. He was incredibly loving to his family and is leaving us with an infinite amount of love to cherish our time. He was so silly and goofy, always cracking a joke (even if inappropriate). We would like to thank the 618 Squadron Royal Canadian Air Cadets for always being there and supporting him.

A service for Kevin will be held at Forest Lawn Mausoleum & Cremation Centre on Saturday, March 22, 2025, from 11 am – 12 pm. His final resting place will be at Forest Lawn Mausoleum & Cremation Centre.

Memories and notes of condolence may be shared at Basic Funerals, Mississauga.
