KERR , Donald Murray Kerr

Don passed away peacefully at Lakeridge Health Ajax, on February 13, 2025. He was 81 years old.

Don was the beloved father of Scott Kerr (Kimberley) of Bowmanville, and grandfather of Erin and Adam. He was predeceased by his parents Ethelyn (Warne) and Robert “Bob” Kerr and his brother Bob (Liz, surviving). Don is survived by his siblings Gord Kerr (Bernadette) of Chisholm, Linda Ellery (Larry) of Powassan, and Dianne Whitehead of North Bay.

Born in Toronto, where he spent his formative years, Don had already entered the workforce when his family moved to Powassan where they owned Kerr’s Flowers. Don made a career in the building supply business, working as a yard foreman and later in sales. After retirement, Don remained in the Whitby area near his son and grandchildren.

A celebration of Don’s life and graveside service will take place at Holiness Cemetery, Powassan on Saturday, August 23, 2025 at 10:00 am.
