MCCALL, Henry Joseph McCall

It is with great sadness that the family of Henry J. McCall, affectionately known as Harry to his family and friends, announces his peaceful passing on July 2, 2026, in his 91st year.

Henry Joseph McCall was born in Belfast, Northern Ireland, the eldest of five children. In 1979, he immigrated to Canada, where he built a life centered on family, friendship, and hard work, while always remaining proud of his Irish heritage.

A skilled tool and die maker by trade, Harry enjoyed a long and dedicated career with AMP of Canada, where he worked until his retirement.

Harry was predeceased by his beloved wife, Marie. He leaves behind his loving children, Anne Marie, (Richard) Deirdre, (Chris) Harry, (Marlene)and Debra (Mike); his cherished grandchildren, Caitlin, Garrit, Kieran, Ryan, and Jack; and his treasured great-grandchildren, Greyson and McKenna.

Nothing brought Harry greater joy than spending time with his family. He loved cheering on his grandchildren from the sidelines as they played hockey and soccer, and he especially looked forward to his Tuesday “Two and a Half Men” evenings with Harry and Jack.

Harry enjoyed gathering with family at the Tipple Inn, where good conversation, a glass of Irish whiskey, and the timeless music of Frank Sinatra made for memorable evenings. Every winter, he looked forward to escaping to Daytona Beach, where he loved spending time by the ocean and visiting the iconic North Turn Beach Bar, soaking up the sunshine and making lasting memories with family and friends.

Harry had a lifelong passion for cars and airplanes and always enjoyed watching them whenever he had the chance. He was also a fan of the dog races and horse racing, and he never lost his admiration for the legendary Irish racehorse Arkle, his all-time favourite. An avid sports fan, Harry also enjoyed watching soccer matches, golf tournaments and the Kentucky Derby.

Harry will be remembered for his kindness, gentle humour, unwavering devotion to his family, and the warmth he brought to everyone who knew him. He will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever in our hearts.
