TREPANIER, Trudy R. Trepanier

It is with sadness that we the family of “Trudy” (nee Makinson) Trepanier, wish to announce her peaceful passing, after a life well lived, on Sunday, August 2nd, 2026, at the VON Sakura House, Woodstock, at the age of 82. Trudy was born in Buchans, Newfoundland, daughter of the late Norman Makinson and Teresa (nee Duff) Makinson. In her working years, Trudy was a dedicated Registered Nurse at Lakeshore General Hospital, Montreal for 10 years, retiring in 1975. Trudy is survived by her much loved husband Yvon Trepanier, of Tillsonburg. Together, they relocated to Tillsonburg approximately 25 years ago to retire. Trudy was a dedicated member of St. Mary’s R.C. Church and St. Mary’s Catholic Women’s League.

Lovingly remembered by her husband Yvon and their son Donald Trepanier (wife Diane), of Montreal, Quebec. Trudy is survived by her sister ‘Peggy’ Horan (late Jerry), of St. Thomas. Predeceased by her brother Thomas Makinson (late wife Victoria). Also survived by several nieces, nephews and their families.

In keeping with Trudy’s expressed wishes, cremation has taken place. Friends, neighbours and relatives are invited to attend a Funeral Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday, August 12th, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary’s R.C. Church, 51 Venison St. W., Tillsonburg, by Rev. Fr. Seejo John. Inurnment follows in Tillsonburg Cemetery Columbarium 9. All funeral attendees are invited to join the family for a reception (held immediately after Mass) in St. Mary’s Church Basement Hall.
