Peacefully, at Kingston Health Sciences Centre-KGH, with family at his side, on Friday, July 27, 2018.

Allan Armit, in his 71st year, beloved husband of Ellen Henderson of Kingston, and by previous marriage to the late Carol Armit (2013). 

Loving father of Alexis Armit of Hudson Bay, SK and Ethan Armit (Victoria) of Sudbury, ON. 

Proud grandfather of Theo. 

Survived by sisters Holly Stephens (Chris) and Joan Macklin (Paul), and their families.

The family extends sincere gratitude to all of Allan's caregivers at KGH and Trillium Ridge Retirement Community, as well as Lynn Joseph, Domenic Lombardi and Vince Martin, for their exemplary care and compassion provided to him during his challenging journey. 

In keeping with Allan's wishes, cremation has taken place. 

The funeral service will be held in the Chapel of the James Reid Funeral Home, Kingston, ON on Friday, August 3 at 2:00 pm. 

The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:00 pm until 1:50 pm, and during a reception in the James Reid Reception Centre at the conclusion of the service. 

As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to Queen's University or the Friends of Ferris Provincial Park in Mr. Armit's memory.
