Inga Mary Allan

January 17, 1934 – December 7, 2024

Inga Mary Allan (née Johansen) went home to be with her Lord and Saviour on Saturday, December 7th, 2024, at Huntsville Hospital. She passed away peacefully with family at her side.

Inga was born on January 17, 1934, in Toronto, Ontario, to her parents Finn and Agnes Johansen (née McCracken). She was predeceased by her first husband, Bob Dean, her second husband, Grant Allan, her siblings Una Edwards, Karl Johansen, and Ila Johansen.

Inga was a proud mother to Mark (late Lynn) Dean, Karl (Jo) Dean, Brenda Dean, and Elaine (Edward) Super. She was a cherished grandmother to Jessica, Jennifer, Jamie, Jordie (Bill), Logan, Tori, David (Alex), Daniel (Jessica), Bethany (Adam), and 11 great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind many beloved nieces and nephews.

Inga had a fulfilling career as a social worker in Toronto and was actively involved with Muskoka Bible Centre since childhood. She retired with her husband Grant to Huntsville 30 years ago, where they became part of the Christian family at Faith Baptist Church. Inga was a dedicated volunteer at The Table Food Bank since 2008.

Known for her talents as an artist, writer, and performer, Inga performed biblical monologues across Ontario, Alberta, and the Arctic. Her legacy of faith, kindness, and service left a lasting impact on all who knew her.

Funeral Service: The service will be held on Saturday, January 4th, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Faith Baptist Church in Huntsville. In honor of Inga, the family asks guests to wear pink. A reception will follow.

Interment: Inga will be laid to rest beside her husband at Hutcheson Memorial Cemetery in the Spring.

Memorial Donations: Donations in Inga’s memory can be made to Muskoka Bible Chapel or The Table Food Bank.
