MONGILLO, Americo - (November 28, 1945 - January 1, 2021) -
It is with great sadness we announce the passing of a wonderful man Americo Mongillo, who passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family.
Beloved husband of 53 years to Ada, Loved Father to Pat (Patrizia), Angela (John Mian), Americo Jr. (Stephanie).
Proud Nonno to Gianni, Giulia, Elisa, Gianluca, Isabella, Alessia, Marco, and Matthew.
Americo was born in Italy on November 28, 1945. He immigrated to Canada in 1965, where he built a beautiful life for his family.
He loved spending time with family and friends, he enjoyed traveling, fishing and gardening. Americo was a highly skilled machine operator and a retired member of Local 793, International Union of Operating Engineers. Americo, you will always be in the hearts of your family and friends.
Arrangements entrusted with Scott funeral home, WOODBRIDGE Chapel. Due to Covid-19 restrictions a celebration of life will take place at a later date. There will be NO OPEN PUBLIC VISITATION
Physical distancing and wearing a mask will be mandatory for all guests. Due to physical distancing restrictions, the maximum capacity in our visitation suite is 10 people including family.
Due to these restrictions, screening of all guests attending will take place outside prior entering the building.
