HUMEN, Anne Margaret (nee PRASKEY) - Forever in Our Hearts With great sadness, we share the news of the passing of Anne Margaret Humen (Praskey) on December 22, 2023, at the age of 81.
She departed peacefully in Belleville General Hospital, surrounded by loved ones.
A beloved mother to Taras (Jennifer) and Tanya, and adored Baba to her grandchildren, Duncan, Lane, and Patrick.
Anne dedicated her life to the well-being of her family, including the furry members, and her departure leaves a profound void in our lives. Anne shared a special bond with her brother, Douglas.
In the last few years, she loved their daily updates about our Out West and Ontario families, sharing memories, and questioning the news of the day.
She was predeceased by her husband, Harold; dear brother, Ross (Gloria); and sister-in-law, Elizabeth. Family always held a special place in Anne's heart, and her nieces, Lisa, Kristina (Willem) and Jessica; and nephew, John (Sofia) and their children, Jenna, MacKenzie, Damon, Asher, Fiona, and Felix, will forever treasure the warmth she brought into their lives. Anne found joy in life's simple pleasures, always appreciating a good mystery novel, cup of coffee, and lemon meringue pie.
In life, She was deeply loved, and her absence will be keenly felt by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
She passed along a spirit of kindness, tolerance and zest for life, a lasting tribute to a wonderful person who touched our lives with great love and warmth.
While no formal funeral service will be held, the family is holding private memorials to honour Anne's memory and celebrate the beautiful moments shared with her.
