DAVIS, Arlene Norma - On September 22, 2023 at Michael Garron Health Centre, aged 81.
Predeceased by parents, Jack Davis of Michigan and Emilie Stuckey of Barrie.
Survived by cousins in Cochrane, Alberta, and Orillia.
After training as a nurse in her home city of Toronto, Arlene volunteered with CUSO in Tanzania.
Returning home, she nursed for several years, then took her B.Mus. and B.Ed. at the University of Toronto, going on to teach elementary school for over 25 years.
Singing was her passion, she was a member of the Toronto Mendelssohn and Tallis Choirs. An Anglican, she sang in church choirs of several denominations.
Memorial Service will be held at The Church of St. Martin-in-the-Fields, 151 Glenlake Ave. (1 block north of the Keele subway), on Saturday, March 16th, at 2 p.m. Please no flowers.
