Mary Ann Atkinson

Passed Away: 2024

Mary Ann Atkinson peacefully made her way home on December 11, 2024, at the age of 79. She was the loving mother of Cora Atkinson-Howe (Marc) and a proud grandmother to Brendyn, Kaidyn, and Jordyn. Mary was also a cherished sister to Doris Brian (Mike) and Peggy Matrone, and former wife of Dennis Atkinson. She is survived by many nieces and nephews.

Mary was employed with Windsor Utilities (Water Division) and was a dedicated member of Oakwood Bible Chapel. She was a proud 50-year member of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority and actively volunteered with numerous charitable organizations in the Windsor area. Known for her infectious laughter and willingness to lend a helping hand, Mary loved gardening, sewing, and cheering enthusiastically for her grandsons from the sidelines.

If you so desire, donations to the Windsor and Essex County Humane Society, the Hospice of Windsor, or the Multiple Sclerosis Society would be appreciated by the family.

Visiting will be held on Monday, December 16, 2024, from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM and 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Families First, 3260 Dougall Ave., South Windsor (519-969-5841). A Beta Sigma Phi Sorority Service will be held on Monday at 8:00 PM. Visitation will resume on Tuesday, December 17, 2024, at 10:00 AM until the time of the Funeral Service at 11:00 AM at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
