Ed Authier

June 2, 1943 – December 11, 2024

Ed Authier, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family at his residence on Wednesday, December 11, 2024, at the age of 81. Ed was the devoted husband of Ruth (Purcell) Authier of Waterloo for over 59 years.

Proud father of Chris (Wendy) of Waterloo and Dennis (Michelle) of Nanaimo, BC. Cherished grandfather of Jessica, Emily, Josh, Nikolas, Zachary, and Wesley. Dear brother of Rose (Jim) Hodgson, Dorothy Bernard, Margaret (Theo) VanDyk, and Cliff (Marlene). He was predeceased by his parents Alcide and Josie Authier, as well as his siblings Leo, Oscar, Wilfred, Lawrence, Felix, Pat, and Theresa.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM on Wednesday, December 18, 2024, at Dreisinger Funeral Home, 62 Arthur St. S., Elmira. The funeral service will follow at 11:00 AM in the funeral home chapel, with a reception to follow. Interment will take place at Hawkesville Cemetery.
