Russell Eugene Baird

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved father, Russell Eugene Baird, who peacefully passed away at Stoneridge Manor in Carleton Place, Ontario, on Sunday, December 1, 2024, at the age of 89. Russell was the cherished son of the late Eugene and Mary (McGee) Baird and was predeceased by the love of his life, Claire.

Russell was a proud and loving father to Lynn (Doug) Gemmill. He is also survived by his sisters-in-law, Lorna (late Ken) Burns and Lillian (late Ellwood) Baird, as well as many nieces, nephews, and extended family. Russell was predeceased by his brothers Ken (Elaine) and Eric (Liz) and his sisters Helen (Mel) Craig and Elaine (Frank) Bayliss.

Visitation will be held at Barker Funeral Home, 19 Arthur Street, Carleton Place, Ontario, on Saturday, December 7, 2024, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM. A service will follow in the chapel at 12:00 PM, with interment at Hopetown Cemetery.
