Robert John Beaton

September 13, 1954 – February 21, 2025

It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend, **Robert John Beaton**, who lost his short but courageous battle with cancer on February 21, 2025, at the age of 70, surrounded by family.

Even as he faced illness, Rob remained hopeful and strong. Through the pain and sadness, there were still moments of joy, laughter, and cherished tender memories that his family will hold dear forever.

The measure of a truly great man isn’t in fame or material possessions, but in acts of kindness and a life lived in service. Rob embodied this wholeheartedly—his integrity, generosity, and passion touched the lives of many. Known as a man of few words but endless action, he was always willing to lend a helping hand, whether baiting a hook for a grandchild, teaching someone how to drive, or fixing anything that needed repair.

Born in 1954, Rob was a long-time resident of Scarborough, Ontario, and the son of **William and Barbara Beaton**. He was the dearly loved brother of **William (Karen), Bruce (Wendy), John, Gordon (Catherine), and Nancy**. He is survived by numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.

In October 1975, Rob married his high school sweetheart, **Anne-Marie (Morin)**, and together they built a beautiful life. They shared two children, **Robert William and Jillian Marie**, and four wonderful grandchildren – **Nathaniel, Allyannah, Kaylah, and Everett** – who were the centre of his world.

Rob was never one for the spotlight, and as per his wishes, he will be remembered privately with close family and friends.
