Alexander "Alex" Edward Behr

April 14, 1992 - November 12, 2024

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Alexander “Alex” Edward Behr on November 12, 2024, at the age of 32. Alex was a beloved brother, son, cousin, uncle, and friend who touched the lives of everyone he knew with his kindness, love, and enduring spirit.

Born on April 14, 1992, in Kitchener, Alex was the cherished son of Klaus and Mary Behr. He shared a special bond with his twin sister Katrina and their older brother Matthew (wife Samantha and daughter Lily). Alex’s childhood was filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories.

Alex had a passion for sports and video games, especially enjoying golf, football, bike riding, and trips to the gym. A lifelong Boston Bruins fan, he was known for his generosity, selflessness, and his ability to make those around him laugh. He shared a particularly close bond with his cousin Ben, with whom he created countless joyful memories.

He is survived by his grandparents Ursula (Oma) and Emil (Opa) Behr, and Joan Powers, as well as his many aunts, uncles, and cousins, including Rob and Joanne Powers, Pat and Leanne Powers, Ted and Tunde Powers, Debbie and John Powers, and Petra and Jim Miller. Alex was predeceased by his grandfather Ted Powers, his best friends Grant Eisenporth, Jacob Traplin, Ray Friolet, and Josh Zuurhoud, as well as his great-aunt Audrey Seifried.

Visitation will be held at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo, on Thursday, November 21, 2024, from 4:30 PM to 7:00 PM. The funeral mass will take place at St. Louis RC Church, 53 Allen St. E., Waterloo, on Friday, November 22, 2024, at 10:30 AM, officiated by Rev. Phil Reilly C.R. Cremation will follow, with a private family interment at Mt. Hope Cemetery, Waterloo, at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, condolences for the family and donations to Diabetes Canada or the Canadian Cancer Society are greatly appreciated. Arrangements can be made through the funeral home at www.erbgood.com.

The family expresses heartfelt gratitude to everyone who supported Alex through his difficult years and continues to provide comfort and care. May Alex rest in peace, and may his love and cherished memories bring solace to all who knew him.
