Marian Elizabeth (Hunter) Bellamy
July 16, 1962 - January 7, 2025
After fighting courageously for over two years, and with her family by her side, Marian Elizabeth Bellamy (née Hunter) passed away on January 7, 2025, at the age of 62 in Sunderland, Ontario.
Marian was the loving wife of Gary for over 40 years. She will be greatly missed by her children Andrew Bellamy (Tralee), Duncan Bellamy (Bengisu), and Chelsea Speers (Luke), as well as her three cherished grandsons. Marian was the beloved daughter of Dennis Hunter (Beth) and the late Barbara Hunter. She will also be fondly remembered by her sister Kathleen Bowes (Dennis), brother David Hunter (Wendy), mother and father-in-law Ray and Iona, sister-in-law Judi Francis (Mark), her chosen sister Johanne Cleyn (Mike Robinson), and her many nieces and nephews.
Marian was a force of nature, known for her strength, honesty, and fierce loyalty to her family and friends. She valued hard work and was always there to support those she loved. Marian had a passion for genealogy, where she not only researched her own family history but also helped others uncover their roots. She was an avid quilter, scrapbooker, and reader, leaving her family with a wealth of treasured photo memories to cherish forever.
Marian loved spending time with her family, friends, and her Lake Weslemkoon community. She shared countless memories with those she cared about and will be remembered for her quick wit, warm personality, and unwavering love for her family.
In accordance with her wishes, cremation has taken place. A private Celebration of Life will be held at a later date, near the time of her birthday in July. A graveside service at Waters Cemetery in Lively will also take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to ALS Canada in Marian’s name.
Memories and notes of condolence may be shared at Low & Low Funeral Home.

Marian was my cousin but also so much more. She was my maid of honour, cherished friend, and constant source of advice, shared humour, strength, and love. I will miss my dear cousin and friend every day from now on.

She was my sister and my best friend. I will always love and miss her—my "older and wiser" sister.

Known to me as just Auntie 🩷. She was strong, funny, and loved her family so much. Love you forever.
