Paul Edward Bennett

1946 – December 10, 2024

Paul went home on December 10, 2024, at 78 years of age. Predeceased by his beloved wife and best friend, Jane Bennett (nee Thompson), in 2011. Loving father of Kate (Pieter), Patrick (Ana), and Kristin (Damon), and grandfather to Sophie, Daelyn, Liam, Tessa, and Sylvan. He will be dearly missed by his brothers, Mike and Chuck, and his sisters, Lorrie and Anne. Paul will be remembered by his extended family and many friends.

Paul’s mantra was “Love God, love others, do good, do your best.” He loved his family above all and if he had something you needed, it was yours. A few of his favorite things were a Tim Horton’s coffee shared with a good friend, sitting by the lake at the cottage, cheering on the New York Rangers, watching Lord of the Rings, and reading a great book. Paul owned and ran HEC Group with his good friend and business partner, Bob Leek, for many years. Following his retirement, he served Grand Valley Church as a youth leader.

Friends will be received at the Dwayne D. Budgell Funeral Home on Thursday, December 19, 2024, from 12 – 1 p.m. A Memorial Service will follow in the Funeral Home Chapel at 1 p.m. Pastor Ralph Byma will officiate. In Paul’s memory, donations to the Alzheimer’s Society – Brant, Haldimand, Norfolk, Hamilton, Halton would be appreciated by his family.
