Terrance James Bennett

September 1, 1963 – December 23, 2024

It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Terrance (Terry) James Bennett, who passed away at the Health Sciences North Hospital in Sudbury on December 23, 2024. He was 61 years old. Terry was born on September 1, 1963, at Manitoulin Health Centre on Manitoulin Island, Ontario, and was raised in South Bay Mouth on Manitoulin Island by his adopted parents, both predeceased.

Terry is survived by his loving wife, (Dee) Carrie-Lynn Bennett, and his special friend SueAnn Jackson Land. He will be deeply missed by his siblings Malcolm Mishibinijima, Mary Mishibinijima (Ed, predeceased), Dianne Mishibinijima (Robert), and stepbrother Godfrey (Virginia) Shawande. He is predeceased by siblings Howard Mishibinijima, Valerie (David) Lavallee, Philip Roy, Rozina (Joseph) Lavallee, Eugene, and Francis (Laurie Ann) Mishibinijima. Terry was the beloved son of Agnes Mishibinijima (nee Achitwens) (Gabriel) and Norman Mishibinijima, and his adopted parents, Mr. & Mrs. Bennett, are also predeceased.

Terry will be fondly remembered by his Auntie Quanja, many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. He made a lasting impression on all who knew him, and his absence will be deeply felt.

Funeral Service: Resting at Jackson and Barnard Funeral Home, 233 Larch St., Sudbury. Friends may call after 1:00 p.m. on Monday. The funeral service will be held in the R.J. Barnard Chapel on Monday, December 30, 2024, at 3:00 p.m. Cremation to follow at Park Lawn Crematorium.
