LAWTON, Bernard - Passed away at home, with his wife and daughter present, on November 15, 2015, in his 95th year.
Loving husband of June for almost 70 years.
Cherished father of Pamela(David).
Predeceased by his son, Kenneth.
Bernard served in WWII in the Canadian Armed Forces, with the Royal Canadian Ordinance Corps, as a driver in command.
Bernard loved hunting, fishing, carving and all things outdoors.
When he wasn’t at his cottage, he could be found coaching lacrosse, or cheering on his Oshawa Green Gaels. Bernard enjoyed his career with the post office, and later worked as an inspector with Canada Customs.
Bernard’s smile and sense of humor brought great joy to many.
In keeping with Bernard’s wishes, cremation has taken place, and no formal service will be held.
His family will gather privately at a later date to inter his remains at Thornton Cemetery.
If desired, memorial donations to the CHARITY of your choice are greatly appreciated.
