Marilyn Beuglet
October 15, 1936 – October 19, 2024

Marilyn Beuglet passed away peacefully at the age of 88 on October 19, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of the late Dr. Gerard “Gerry” Beuglet (2015) and a proud mother to Suzanne (Dr. Greg St. Louis), Marc (Kaoru), the late Matthew (1965), Michelle (Colin Lightbody), and Chris Beuglet (Janice). She was a loving and adoring grandmother to Ryan (Dr. Erin), Dr. Andrew (Dr. Rachell), Dr. Tyler (Tia), Zach, Jaden, Lexie, Lauren, Owen, Joel, and Luke.

Marilyn was predeceased by her parents William (1940) and Rose Mae (1991), and by her siblings William “Bill” (1997), Robert “Bob” (1989), and Arlene Appleman (Norm, 2022). She was also predeceased by her parents-in-law Dr. Ernest (1983) and Marie (1990), and siblings-in-law Jeanne Ryan (Jack, 2001), Charles (2022) (Dr. Cathy Cole, 1987), and Mariette Forberg (2022) (Chuck).

Marilyn was a devoted volunteer at Hospice and other organizations, and she took great interest in her grandchildren’s academic and extracurricular activities. She was always present at the arena, cheering them on, and was known for her famous strawberry dessert, made specially for birthdays.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the team of doctors, nurses, and palliative care staff at HDGH Emara Building, and to Dr. Andrea Steen for her years of compassionate care. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Windsor, the Windsor Regional Cancer Centre, or a charity of your choice.

As per Marilyn’s wishes, no visitation will be held and a private family service has taken place. We offer our deepest sympathies to the family and friends of Marilyn Beuglet and hope her memory brings comfort during this difficult time. Your kind thoughts and words are greatly appreciated.
