Bird, Stephen Patrick, born on May 11th, 1952, in Toronto, Ontario, passed away unexpectedly at his home in Oshawa on Friday, April 4, 2025. He is survived by his loving wife Cindy of 36 years, son James (Leanne), daughter Jessica (Mark), and his cherished grandchildren. Stephen was predeceased by his parents Jack and Joan Bird and his sister Christine.

Those who knew Steve will remember him as a diehard Toronto Maple Leafs fan. When he wasn't at the cottage enjoying time by the lake, he could often be found performing at open mic nights in Oshawa—always singing his original songs, as covers were never his style.

As his passing was very sudden and unexpected, the family has requested privacy during this extremely difficult time. A celebration of Stephen's life will be held at a future date.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Canada or the Oshawa Humane Society in Stephen’s memory.
