Paul Gordon Black
Passed Away: November 19, 2024
Paul Gordon Black, aged 71, passed peacefully in his home on Tuesday, November 19, 2024. While his family and friends are heartbroken by this loss, they find comfort in knowing that Paul’s passing was tranquil and that he is reunited with his beloved Lynne.
Predeceased by his wife Lynne, brother Barry, sister Carol, brothers-in-law Graham and Doug, sister-in-law Cathy, brother-in-law Gary, and his parents William and Patricia, Paul leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories.
Paul will be greatly missed by his sister-in-law Ila, sister-in-law Dianne, and his many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews, including Paul Jr (Lauren), Karen (Pete), Teddy, Pamela (Stuart), Paula (Rob), Michael, Jason (Halle), Jonas, Keelan, Joel, Sebastian, Emily, Mya, Faith, Nya, Oliver, Rebecca, Kelsey, Daniel, and Amelia.
Known for his infectious laugh, terrible jokes, and warm hugs, Paul had a larger-than-life personality. He loved his family, friends, cats Polly and Belle, and the simple pleasures of life—golf, beer, and spending time in his pool and garage. His love for gardening was a tribute to his wife Lynne, and his garage proudly displayed his passion for Australia, a country that held a special place in his heart.
Paul’s joyful spirit, his welcoming smile, and his patient, unconditional love made everyone feel at home. He will be remembered for his adventurous stories, love for life, and the twinkle in his eyes.
A Celebration of Life will be held in the summer of 2025 to honor Paul’s memory and his incredible impact on those who knew him.
Donations in Paul’s memory can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 190 Elevator Fund. Memories and condolences may be shared with the family at Arn-Lockie Funeral Home Ltd..
