Lynn Michelle Bond (Deratnay)

Wednesday, April 19th, 1961 - Sunday, December 15th, 2024

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Lynn Bond (nee Deratnay) on Sunday, December 15th, 2024, at the age of 63. Lynn passed away peacefully, surrounded by family and friends, after a long illness.

Lynn was a loving wife to James for 36 years and a devoted mother to Carolyn (Ryan Lahti) and David. She was a cherished sister to Paul and Mark and a loving daughter to Barbara (Richard Habib). A proud Auntie, she is remembered fondly by her niece and nephews: Matthew and Sarah, children of Paul and Penney, and Aiden and Austin, children of Mark and Peggy. Lynn was predeceased by her father, Edward Deratnay.

Lynn was fortunate to have formed many lasting friendships throughout her life, from her youth participating in athletics at the Toronto Cricket Club, to her active involvement in Carolyn and David’s schools, and her years working at the dental office. Among these, she was a lifelong friend to Cathy Langdon, sharing many cherished memories. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Our heartfelt thanks to the staff and volunteers at Oak Ridges Hospice in Port Perry for their compassionate care during Lynn’s final days.

A celebration of Lynn's life will be announced at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Oak Ridges Hospice in Lynn's memory are greatly appreciated.

Memories and notes of condolence may be shared at BARNES MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME.
