Ernie Joseph Borutski

1942 – December 20, 2024

It is with saddened hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Ernie Joseph Borutski at his home in Severn on Friday, December 20, 2024, in his 83rd year. Born in Val-d'Or, Quebec, Ernie was predeceased by his parents Peter Borutski and Florence Corriveau.

Ernie was the beloved husband of Linda (née Burton) for 33 wonderful years. Loving father of April Kerman (Nelson), Larry Borutski (Trish), Bonnie Borutski, Jason Barker (Heather), and Jeff Barker (Vicki). Proud grandfather of 10 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.

Dear brother of Irene Kuiack (late Leonard), Pamela Gammon (Wayne), and Peter Borutski (Gail). Ernie will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.

A celebration of Ernie’s life will be held in the Spring of 2025. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to the Orillia Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital Foundation through the Simcoe Funeral Home, 38 James Street East, Orillia (705) 327-0221.
