Mary Lou Brant

1944 – December 20, 2024

They are finally back together. He clasped her hand, and their hearts were one again. With great sadness, we announce that Mary Lou Brant started her final journey at the age of 80 on December 20, 2024, at the Juravinski Hospital in Hamilton.

Mary Lou was the devoted wife of the late Sidney Dean Brant and a loving mother to Tina and Tammy. She was the greatest Nanny to Shaedyn, Emma, Vlora, and Sage. Cherished sister to Jack and Deanna McNaughton, she was predeceased by her parents Daniel and Viola McNaughton, as well as siblings Sandy (Judy), Earl and Lorna, Dan and Elaine, Reginald and Mary, William and Leone, and Muriel. Mary Lou is survived by many nieces and nephews who will fondly remember her.

Mary Lou was a dedicated volunteer with the Six Nations Veteran’s Association and The Red Barn and worked for 14 years at Canada Post. She was also a cherished member of "The Breakfast Club," where she created lasting memories and friendships.

The family will honour her life with a visitation/service at Hyde and Mott Chapel, Hagersville, on Sunday evening, December 22, 2024, from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held in the chapel on Monday, December 23, 2024, at 11:00 a.m., followed by burial at Grand River United Church.
