BROWN, Douglas Walter - (retired from De Havilland Aircraft), A long life well lived- loving and dearly loved,
Peacefully at Hillsdale Estate, Oshawa on Sunday, June 2, 2024 in his 97th year.
Doug, loving husband of the late Jean Brown (2003) and devoted partner of the late Elaine Welch (2022). Predeceased by his son Keith, his brothers Don (Violet) and Bob.
Loving father of Sandy (Gary), Gary and daughter in law Jane (Rick).
Exceptional Grampy of Matt, Derek and Christian (Sheryl). Dear brother in law of Joan Brown. Doug will be dearly missed by "his" dog Gunnar.
Doug will be lovingly remembered by his nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. A special thank you to all the staff at Hillsdale Estates, especially the staff and support staff in Apple Blossom where he resided and Dr. Thomas for their wonderful care.
Family and friends may start arriving at 10 am for an 11 am Memorial service at MOUNT LAWN FUNERAL HOME & CEMETERY, 21 Garrard Road, Whitby (North of Hwy 2) 905-443-3376 on Wednesday, June 19 2024. Reception to follow.
