SIMMONS, Catherine (Anne) - 1931 - 2022 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Catherine (Anne) Simmons, daughter of Harvey and Edith Thomson, on May 7, 2022, just shy of her 91st birthday, after a long struggle with dementia and more recently, cancer.
Anne is survived by her husband and devoted caregiver, Hugh (Jim) Simmons of 70+ years; her children, Daryl (Tom), Christine (Brook), Scott (Trudy); her sister, Frances; and brother, Ross; grandchildren, Bryan (Jung Hyun), Erin (Eli); and great-grandchildren, Kayden, Owen, Jamie, Avery and Madeline.
Mom was dedicated to her family and embraced many interests that gave her joy throughout her life.
Special thanks to the staff at Joseph Brant Hospital and Southlake Regional Health Centre who provided Mom with great care. Immediate family gathered in June to celebrate her life.
