Peacefully surrounded by his heartbroken family, George went to be with his Lord and Saviour on January 20, 2025 in his 91st year. George was the dearly beloved husband of Kay Chatterton for 68 beautiful years and the devoted father of their three children, Randy (Gail), Allan, and Leanne (Peter). George will be deeply missed by his grandchildren, Barry (Tracy), Mike (Amy), Jamie (Connie), Danielle (Andrew), Todd (Tracy), and Richard, as well as his ten great-grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren.

George will be missed by many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends. George was predeceased by his parents, Sophia & John, as well as his 15 older brothers and sisters.

George’s memory will live on in the hearts of his family, friends, and all who were fortunate enough to know him. May he rest in peace while his legacy will live on in the lives he touched.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the wonderful staff at Fairview Lodge for their outstanding care, compassion and unwavering support.

Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of George’s Life will be held Sunday, February 9, 2025 from 12:00 pm - 4:00 pm at the Whitby Legion 117 Byron St S , Whitby , On L1N 4P5.
