Domenico Citano

March 20, 1937 – January 7, 2025

In Loving Memory.

Peacefully, with family by his side, on Tuesday, January 7, 2025, at the age of 87. Predeceased by his parents Pietro and Diana. Beloved husband of Maria (nee Pulla) for 59 years. Devoted father to Peter (Maria) and Vince (Patricia). Loving Nonno of Domenico, Ava, Ethan, and Michael.

Domenico will be sadly missed by his sister Connie (Vince Ariemma), and his nieces Joanne and Lilliana. He will be lovingly remembered by his sister-in-law Giovanna and the late Alberto, and is predeceased by his sister-in-law Cesina and the late Alberto, and brother-in-law Assunto (Aninna). He will be fondly remembered by his many nieces, nephews, extended family, friends, and his fur grandbaby, Uma.

Domenico immigrated to Canada from Italy in 1960 and settled in Oshawa, where he married Maria on May 1, 1965. He worked at Lasco Steel from 1968 until his retirement in 1996. A man of deep creativity, Domenico was known for his passion for home renovations, taking on tasks ranging from plumbing to electrical work with determination and skill.

Domenico’s primary focus was his family, always striving to provide for them and ensure their success. He will be remembered for his generosity, respect for others, and selflessness. Please join us in honoring his memory and legacy.

Event Times: January 12, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM

Mass of Christian Burial: St. Mary of the People Parish
Event Times: January 13, 2025, at 10:00 AM

Entombment: Resurrection Cemetery
