Michael James Clarke

October 13, 1947 - February 16, 2025

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Michael James Clarke on Sunday, February 16, 2025.

Mike was born on October 13, 1947, the eldest son of Jim and Eve Clarke in Toronto. He grew up in West Hill and later North York, attending the University of Guelph and Osgoode Hall Law School. He was a devoted partner to Elizabeth Webster and a loving father to Charlotte, Lily, and Will Clarke.

Predeceased by his brother Peter Clarke, Mike is survived by his brother Paul Clarke and sisters Patricia Clarke and Penny Mistelbacher. He practiced criminal law in Toronto and the surrounding areas for many years, dedicating his career to justice and advocacy.

Sadly, dementia took Mike from us long before his passing. Our family would like to extend heartfelt gratitude to the nurses and personal care workers at Kew Beach Transitional Care and Providence Health Care for their unfailing kindness and patience.

As per Mike’s wishes, cremation has taken place.
