Michele Coccimiglio

January 6, 1938 - December 1, 2024

It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Michele Coccimiglio in Toronto, at the age of 86. Born in Cosenza, Calabria, Italy, Michele immigrated to Canada at the age of 17, where he built a life filled with love, family, and community.

Michele was predeceased by his beloved wife, Maria (née Richichi) (2016). He is survived by his loving children, Antonietta (Bruno) and Frank (Tara), and was a proud Nonno to Anthony, Michael, Cristina, Tyler, and Daniel. Michele’s kindness, humor, and devotion to his family will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by all who knew him.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 5, 2024, from 2:00 – 4:00 PM and 6:00 – 8:00 PM at Holy Cross Catholic Funeral Home, 211 Langstaff Road East, Thornhill, ON, L3T 3Z6. The Funeral Mass will take place on Friday, December 6, 2024, at 1:30 PM in the Chapel of St. Joseph at Holy Cross Catholic Funeral Home. Entombment will follow at the Holy Family Mausoleum, Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery, 8361 Yonge Street, Thornhill, ON, L3T 3Z6.

In memory of Michele, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society or the Baycrest Hospital Foundation.
