Jeremy Thomas Cockerton

February 28, 1998 - April 26, 2025

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Jeremy Thomas Cockerton on Saturday, April 26, 2025.

Jeremy is lovingly remembered by his fiancé Maddie Woo and his son Everett, parents Jeff (Deborah) and Maureen (Laurie), sister Deanna (Roger), stepbrothers Connor (Lindsay and Aspen), Kyle (Anna), grandparents Jim and Carol Adams, Carol and the late Fred Cockerton. He will also be missed by his aunts, uncles, cousins, and his loving in-laws Neil and Vickie Woo and their family.

Jeremy walked to the beat of his own drum and had a hell of a time doing it. He loved deeply and carried a soft heart behind a tough exterior. His greatest friendships were with his family and the family he created for himself. His free spirit will live on in his beloved son Everett.

Jeremy loved summers at the cottage, food adventures with the hottest sauces, cycling, Harry Potter, and all things Marvel. His laughter, loud and contagious, his clothes bright and bold—he was unapologetically himself and cared little for judgment.

Though his time with us was far too short, his memory and the joy he brought will forever remain in our hearts. Rest in peace, Jeremy. We love you and will miss you until we meet again.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Mount Lawn Funeral Home & Cemetery, 21 Garrard Road, Whitby, on Friday, May 2, 2025, from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. Guests are encouraged to dress casually in honor of Jeremy's wishes.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made towards a trust fund for Jeremy and Maddie’s son, Everett. Contributions may be sent by cheque payable to Jeff Cockerton or by e-transfer to cockerton.jeff@gmail.com.
