Wayne Garry Conyard

October 9, 1950 - March 2, 2025

Wayne Garry Conyard, age 74, of Stratford, passed away peacefully at the Stratford General Hospital on Sunday, March 2, 2025.

Born in Stratford, son of the late Leonard and Marie (Glabb) Conyard.
Beloved father of daughters Jennifer Conyard (Dave), Sara Vanier (Dan), and Angela Brown (Travis), and son Christopher Conyard.
Also survived by his 11 grandchildren: Josh (Jodi), Rebekkah, Eric (Holly), Skylar, Abbie, Maven (Vanessa), Ronyn, Scarlett, Keegan, Neely, and Hayden;
3 great-grandchildren; sisters Karen Nicholson (Doug) and Tracy Allen (Jerry); and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Predeceased by his good friend Bill Farmer.

Wayne spent his career at the Beacon Herald until he retired.
He was a dedicated leader with the Boy Scouts of Canada and an active member of his church.
Wayne felt most at home at Happy Hills Resort for many years.
His smile and kindness will be missed by many.
He wore the title “Papa” with love and pride.

Visitation:
Thursday, March 6, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. at W.G. Young Funeral Home, 430 Huron Street, Stratford.

Funeral Service:
Thursday, March 6, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at W.G. Young Funeral Home, officiated by Rev. Hugh Rutledge.

Interment:
Avondale Cemetery, followed by a reception at the funeral home reception centre.
