Elizabeth Irene Cook
3-Jul-1935 - 12-Oct-2024

In loving memory of Elizabeth Irene (Betty) Cook (née Reardon), who passed away peacefully on October 12, 2024, at the age of 89, surrounded by the love of her family at Oak Ridges Hospice in Port Perry.

Betty was the loving mother of Joan Butt (Steve), Bill (Tania), John (Lisa), Jane, and Jim (Sheri). She was the proud and cherished grandmother of Stephanie, Travis (Kristen), Katelyn (Dave), Mickenzie, Cody (Megan), Justin, Keenan (Jenna), and Tanner, and the beloved great-grandmother of Kaylee, Alexis, Jason, Reid, Presley, Hannah, Arya, and Callyn.

Predeceased by her loving husband of 54 years, Harold Cook, her son Robert (Bob), and granddaughter Jessica Butt, Betty will be fondly remembered by her family and friends.

A talented seamstress with a great eye for quality antiques, Betty, along with her late husband Harold, refinished and sold numerous pieces at antique shows. She treasured her time spent with friends, especially the ‘over the hill gang’.

Betty will be lovingly remembered by her nieces, nephews, and extended family.

A Celebration of Life will be held on November 8, 2024, from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Oshawa Navy Club, 320 Viola Ave., Oshawa.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations in Betty’s memory to the Oak Ridges Hospice, Port Perry. Please visit the donation tab at the top of this page for a link to the Oak Ridges website.
