Helen Cooke

June 10, 1921 - March 9, 2025

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Helen at the age of 103, peacefully at Huron Lodge. Reunited with her beloved husband George (1984). Cherished and proud mother of Sharon (2024) and Bruno (2020) Bormann. She will be dearly missed by her granddaughter Kathy (Ron) Galipeau and reunited with grandson Fredric Bormann (2009). Forever loved by great-grandchildren Sara (Ethan) Kopecky, Marc Galipeau (Rebecca Grootendorst), and Sadie Galipeau. Special grandmother to Robin (Pat) Cooke and family.

Helen is predeceased by her siblings Mike, Joseph, Mary, and Anne. Survived by many nieces and nephews.

Helen was a member of the Zolota Zhoda Seniors Group at St. Vladimir’s Church. She was known for her perogies and cabbage rolls. Helen enjoyed the many activities with her friends and staff at Huron Lodge, especially Bingo. She will be remembered for her love of family, her keen sense of humor, always dressed to the nines, ready to have a good time and a few drinks. She never turned down a second piece of dessert!

Cremation has taken place. A private service and burial will take place with immediate family at a later date.
