Kenneth Elwyn "Ken" Corrigan (KC)

Kenneth Elwyn Corrigan, lovingly known as Ken or “KC,” passed away peacefully at the age of 95 on October 30, 2024. Born on January 21, 1929, Ken lived a life devoted to family, faith, and community, sharing 66 wonderful years with his beloved wife, Margaret (Badley), whom he married on September 13, 1959.
Ken is deeply missed by his wife Margaret; his children Karen (Duane) Judd and David (Clare) Corrigan; and his five grandchildren, Matthew (Sarah), Ryan (Teagan) Judd, James, Jessica, and Josh Corrigan. He was also a proud great-grandfather to Hannah (Judd). Ken is predeceased by his siblings Delorus Ross, Norma Hoy, and Jim Corrigan.
A dedicated worker, Ken spent years with Alger Press and later with General Motors. His lifelong commitment to the Salvation Army was a cornerstone of his life. As a longstanding member of the Oshawa Salvation Army Church, he contributed his musical talents as a band member and served on various committees, embodying values of service and faith.
Ken had a zest for life and a love of travel, enjoying many memorable trips with his family, including Harbourfront adventures with his son Dave and visits to Switzerland to see Karen and her family. An avid sports enthusiast, Ken loved both participating in and watching sports. In his youth, he played baseball and hockey, later dedicating years to coaching baseball with Woodview Park.
A visitation for family and friends will take place in the Fellowship Room of the Oshawa Salvation Army Church on November 30, 2024, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to the Salvation Army or a charity of your choice.
Ken will be remembered for his warmth, his unwavering faith, and his enduring love for family and community.
